It’s fascinating to see how DeepSeek’s AI research lab, formed in 2023, managed to surpass US-based companies in key areas:

 • Cost: DeepSeek cost less than $6 million, compared to ChatGPT’s development, which cost over $6 billion.

 • Time: It developed a new AI frontier in just a year.

 • Hardware: It achieved this using less powerful GPU chipsets, despite US bans preventing China from accessing the latest chipsets.

The announcement of DeepSeek created a tsunami in US stock markets, wiping out nearly $1 trillion of Nvidia’s market value in a single day.

Could this be a game-changer in the AI market? Absolutely.

AI has truly become the new weapon in the global war. DeepSeek has shown the world that you don’t need billions of dollars or cutting-edge GPUs to compete in the AI race.

Now, the question is: do we have someone in Bangladesh willing to spend just $6 million (approximately 75 crore Bangladeshi Taka) to enter the AI race? Bangladesh has enough talent to make it happen.
