TikTok, a small video sharing platform, will close its "Creators Fund" after three years to promote "creative plans." Effective December 16, the fund's operations in the U.S., U.K., France and Germany will cease. However, creators affiliated with the Creator Fund can receive 20 times the income if they meet the conditions to participate in the creative program.

The news was released by technology website TechCrunch. Chinese video-sharing network TikTok started with short videos, but is gradually increasing the time it takes to record videos. It is believed that TikTok’s move is to popularize the creative plans of big video creators. 

While the Creator Fund has no time limit on videos, the Creative Program requires uploading high-resolution videos longer than one minute. TikTok then pays based on the number of followers and video views.
