Chrome has announced that it will stop supporting older versions of Android. Due to this new decision, newer versions of the Chrome browser will not work on previous versions, including the Android 7.1 (Nougat) operating system.
As a result, users of older versions of Android will not be able to take advantage of Chrome's updated security and technical features. Google regularly releases updated versions of Chrome to add various technical features and improve security.
Due to this new decision, starting with Chrome 120, phones running the outdated operating system will no longer be able to use the Chrome browser. As a result, users face various technical errors and even cyberattacks. Google has announced that it will release a version called "Chrome 120" early next year.
This version can only be used after updating the Android operating system within the specified period. Apart from Chrome, Google's Calendar app also doesn't support previous versions, including the Android 7.1 (Nougat) operating system.
Starting next December, the Calendar app will no longer be supported on older versions of the Android operating system.
