For the first time, scientists have introduced technology that uses artificial intelligence, or artificial intelligence, to read human thoughts. With the help of this technology, wearing a helmet with sensors, artificial intelligence will convert the thoughts in the human brain into words and write them down.

Sensors in the helmet detect the electrical activity of the human brain and convert their thoughts into sounds. A research team at the University of Technology Sydney in Australia is working on developing this technology.

They say the technology will help treat patients who are unable to speak or have difficulty speaking due to stroke or paralysis. A prototype of the technology was also demonstrated. In this demonstration video, a man is asked to think about a specific thing.

CT Lin, the lead researcher of the research team, said that this research is pioneering work in directly converting brain waves into speech. It has made significant progress in this regard.

It also adds new neural decoding technology in the "brain-to-text" translation process. Adding large language models to this technology opens up new job opportunities in neuroscience and artificial intelligence. 

To validate the technology, Lin and his team conducted a pilot project with 29 participants. Participants donned helmets and received written assignments. You are asked to think about sentences written on a piece of paper.

Then, an almost identical sentence appeared on the screen. According to experts, the accuracy of this conversion is 40%. Previously, electrodes had to be implanted into the human brain to convert brain signals into sound, which required surgical intervention.

Elon Musk’s Neuralink is tracking this process. Additionally, they must be scanned with an MRI machine.
