Google has once again discovered a horrific "zero-day" vulnerability in its Chrome browser. Researchers from the company's Threat Analysis Group have identified the vulnerability and named it "CVE-2023-7024.

According to them, this vulnerability can be exploited to bypass the security system of the Chrome browser WebRTC framework to cache various programs. By adding fake code, it is even possible to conduct large-scale cyberattacks remotely.

After discovering a zero-day vulnerability in Chrome, Google quickly updated the browser's security. The company recommends version 120.0.6099.129/130 for Windows and 120.0.6099.129 for Mac and Linux, as security vulnerabilities still exist in all older versions.

Zero-day vulnerabilities are basically software vulnerabilities. Various organizations release security patches to quickly fix bugs in their own software. However, if a hacker can exploit the vulnerability before a patch is released, it is called a zero-day vulnerability.

As a result, Google is not providing details about this bug ahead of Chrome security updates.
