Meta recently launched the ability to edit messages sent to Messenger. With the launch of this feature, users will be able to edit messages within 15 minutes of sending them on Messenger.

Therefore, if a message contains incorrect information (including spelling), it must be edited quickly. Let’s see how to edit a message sent in Messenger. 

To edit a message sent in Messenger, first go to the Messenger app and access the chat box of the person you messaged.

Then tap on the sent message, hold it for a while and then click on the three dots option at the bottom. Now, when the pop-up message appears, select the “Edit” option therein.

After editing a message, click the checkmark button next to the message to view the edited message. The same message can be edited up to five times within 15 minutes of sending it in Messenger.

However, the edited text will appear smaller in new messages. This allows recipients to see that the message has been edited after it was sent.
