Messaging app WhatsApp has started adding email addresses to further improve account security. Android beta users now have a chance to test the feature. WABeta Info, a company that has partnered with various advantages of WhatsApp, provides this information.

According to WABeta Info, installing the WhatsApp beta on Android 2.23.24.10 will allow users to look up email addresses. For added security, users can add an email address by clicking the "Email Address" button. To find it, go to your account in WhatsApp settings. You have to go to email address and add your email address.

The ability to add an email address in WhatsApp is optional. Users can add an email address if desired. If you enable this feature, you will need to confirm your email address to launch WhatsApp on another device. However, the previous SMS verification is still retained.

According to the WABeta Info article, even if an email address is added to WhatsApp, users will need a phone number to open a WhatsApp account. Users can be tracked using phone numbers. Once the account is activated, users can add an email address for added security.

After that, users will have the option to enter WhatsApp using their email address instead of their phone number. It's currently in beta, but the feature will be available to everyone soon.
