Many people post videos on various topics along with Facebook and X messages. When autoplay is enabled, various videos in Facebook and X feeds will play automatically. As a result, unwanted videos are played frequently and data consumption on the internet is high. However, this problem can be solved by disabling the autoplay feature.
Turn off auto play on Facebook
To turn off autoplay, go to the Facebook app and tap your profile picture in the top right corner. Then on the next page, scroll down and select Settings from the Settings & Privacy option. Now click on the Media option under the Settings tab. Then, if you select "Never autoplay videos" under the "Autoplay" option, the videos in your Facebook feed will stop autoplaying.
Turn off auto play in X app
To turn off autoplay, go to the X app and tap on your profile picture in the upper left corner. Then click on the “Settings & Support” option and select “Settings & Privacy”. Now, on the next page, under the Accessibility, Display, and Language options, select Data Usage. Then on the next page, under the "Video" option, click on "Autoplay videos" and select the "Never" option so the video will not play automatically.
