Yesterday (November 19), former CEO Sam Altman went to Open AI headquarters after losing his CEO position on Sunday. He is expected to return to OpenAI. But that night, Open AI refuted that impression and said it stood by its decision.

On Friday, Sam Altman was fired from his position as CEO of OpenAI, the parent company of Chat GPT, for unknown reasons. OpenAI’s Meera Murathi has been named interim CEO. But this time, Emmett Hill takes over as the company's new CEO. 

Emmett Shear is the co-founder of the video streaming service Twitch. He has unique skills, acumen and connections that will drive OpenAI's growth, according to a staff memo following his appointment.
