Popular smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched its first electric car "Xiaomi SU7". Its top speed can reach 265 km/h. Currently, the car is only released in the Chinese market. Recently, Xiaomi revealed the appearance of two versions of this electric car, one with lidar and the other without lidar.
The car is available in two powertrain options: RWD and AWD. There are three models of this electric sedan. They are SU7, SU7Pro and SU7 Max. The rear-wheel drive version of the "Xiaomi SU7" electric sedan has the electric motor mounted on the rear axle.
The all-wheel drive (AWD) version produces 663 horsepower, while the RWD version produces 295 horsepower. All-wheel drive consists of a 295-horsepower electric motor mounted on the front axle. The rear axle is equipped with a 368-horsepower electric motor.
There is also a lower model, the electric SU7 from Xiaomi, whose batteries come from BYD. This will be an LFP unit. At this point, higher trim levels have sizable CATL NMC batteries. Regarding the weight of this battery, Xiaomi’s electric vehicles are getting heavier and heavier.
The curb weight of Xiaomi Mi SU7 is 1,980 kg, while the top version weighs 2,205 kg. The top speed of the low-end model is 210 km/h, and the top speed of the high-end model is 265 km/h.
