Meta launched the Threads app on July 5 as an alternative to microblogging site X (formerly Twitter). The Threads app has been operating under the control of Instagram since its launch. This means that in addition to using threads under your Instagram "username", you can also see various notifications from the app on Instagram.

However, multiple notifications from an application when the thread is not running can actually be annoying. Instagram users can turn off notifications from threads for a specific period of time. Let’s see how to disable post notifications on Instagram.

To turn off post notifications on Instagram, first go to the Instagram app and tap on your profile picture below the feed. Then click on the three-line icon at the top of the next page and select the "Settings & Privacy" option. Now, after clicking on the notification button under the “How to Use Instagram” option, you need to enable the switch to the right of “Pause All”.

Now, if you set the time limit for messages from 15 minutes to 8 hours in the popup message, notifications for posts on Instagram will not appear until the specified time. It’s also possible to stop notifications from threads by enabling Instagram’s silent mode option.
