Amazon announces free artificial intelligence (AI) training. The technical institute is committed to educating and training 2 million people globally in artificial intelligence by 2025 through a course called “AI Ready”. 

Amazon’s program, called “AI Ready,” will include a total of more than 80 AI courses, eight of which will be free and open to professionals, young students, and anyone interested. Additionally, under the program, Amazon will create scholarship opportunities and partner with various educational platforms.

The company has taken this move considering the increasing demand for artificial intelligence technology professionals across organizations. A study by Amazon Web Services found that 73% of employers are looking for workers with artificial intelligence skills. AI experts earn 47% more than others. 

“Artificial intelligence is the most transformative technology of our generation,” said Swami Sivasubramaniam, vice president of data and artificial intelligence at Amazon Web Services. “If we want to harness the power of artificial intelligence, To have the potential to solve the world’s most pressing problems, AI education must be accessible to all.

There are various types of courses available from beginners to professionals. Anyone from entrepreneurs to technologists can take these courses. More than 80 artificial intelligence courses available for free and affordably through Amazon Web Services. 

Amazon and Amazon Web Services are partnering to invest $1.2 million to provide scholarships, free courses and coding events to more than 50,000 college and high school students.
