NotebookLM, Google’s AI-powered note-taking app, is now available in the US. However, users must be at least 18 years old. This app uses Google's new large language model Gemini Pro. This makes each document easier to understand. 

Once you upload a document to NotebookLM, the application automatically creates summaries. Different questions and answers are even generated based on one or more documents.

The difference between this application and an AI chatbot is that NotebookLM only analyzes the document and presents different aspects of it. In addition to displaying summaries, the NotebookLM app recommends various writing formats, such as writing emails, writing scripts, and designing marketing plans while uploading multiple documents at once.

By selecting any format, the text of the document will be displayed accordingly. Additionally, the app instantly helps with various tasks, such as reading or writing documents.

For example, if you select a specific section while reading a document, its summary is displayed. Here too, document writing app provides relevant various information and helps in sentence formation.

Additionally, the app has a section called “Noteboard” for storing different types of notes. The notebook can contain up to 20 sources, each containing 200,000 words.

Google launched NotebookLM at the I/O conference in May this year. At the time it was called Project Tailwind. During the initial phase, some users are given the opportunity to test the system.
